Augmented Reality (AR) in News and XR in Presidential Elections
Televisa Univision
THE CHALLENGE
Televisa Univision, the Miami-based media giant, needed to evolve its daily narrative by telling news stories in a more agile and impactful way. This collaboration focused on designing advanced strategies tailored to the journalism sector, creating automated virtual templates, and implementing a highly efficient method to integrate Augmented Reality (AR) technology directly into the newsroom's daily operations.

THE SOLUTION
We developed a suite of reusable AR templates featuring dynamic transition effects for optimal visual flow, modular containers for multimedia organization, interactive social media integrations for real-time audience engagement, and expanded map environments with advanced zoom and navigation. These tools were designed to enhance daily news broadcasts, boost visual storytelling through seamless data integration, and elevate overall audience engagement by providing richer, more contextualized news experiences.

USA ELECTIONS 2024
Following the AR integration, the challenge was the digital recreation of the U.S. Capitol using 3D modeling and real-time rendering for an immersive virtual set. This was integrated into a 360-degree space, using the physical LED wall as a hybrid element for seamless overlays. This enabled the display of election graphics like Congressional seat distributions, state projections, and key alerts, all synced with official real-time data.
Additionally, we integrated overlay graphics with real-time data onto drone footage of state capitals. Using precise tracking and mapping algorithms, we aligned AR elements (like vote percentages and demographic trends) directly onto the live video feed.
